Onwards and Downwards March 2012

Have to say a special THANK YOU to xsticher for those yummy recipes last month and thanks to maggiebee for the humorous poem.
March is a tough month, it can be easy to be good in January and February after the excesses of Christmas but keeping going can be tough.
Do you have any particular motivation tips we can share?
Here is last months thread

I keep thinking about the Ed's question of motivation. One good motivator that I think is VERY important is all of you. Your support and finger pointing when needed is very helpful for keeping on track. Thanks to the faithful few and onwards and downwards... it seems we have all been very good this week, so let's keep up the good work.

Welcome spotit3 and Maidup to our Onward and Downwards. Xstitcher started this about 2 years ago and I replied and we have gradually had a good turn out. Some have stayed some have gone but the good thing is a lot of tho se that have left us have come back .It has definately helped me. Our top loser at the moment is Jan 1957. She has gone through a difficult time since the loss of her husband but she is determined to carry on .Look forward to seeing you on Wed. My motto is cut out the fat and the crap and if you don't buy it you can't eat it. But not so easy with people with families.
A good day so far. I had to work today and part of my duties involved co-hosting a tea and cake party this afternoon. As host I aways used to eat cake with the guests and even go back for seconds or took a piece home for good measure!
But today I had a quick marmite sandwich before I went and resisted all the sweet stuff. I had an apple in the car on the way home and felt really good about it. :-)

well done . But don't skip your meals. Was the sandwich your lunch. I don't know if you read it but I have a small glass of unsweetened grapefruitjuice every morning and this helps to break up fat. Can't be taken with certain types of medication. I went to garage for a wispa choc bar I had in car for my grandson and as he was not feeling very well he didn't want it . I wish I had given it home with him as it worried me all evening till finally I ate it.Thats why I say if I don't buy it I can't eat it.
Well done spotit3. I'm forever deciding that I'll start this tomorrow and a tin of roses might have been my excuse to delay again! So well done for giving them away.
My day was good today, porridge for breakfast, salad for lunch and a jacket spud with baked beans and side salad for dinner, followed by yoghurt and cup of coffee. I had a walk round the town at lunchtime but working in an office, I do struggle to increase my levels of exercise. In a vane attempt to show willing, I purposefully went to the loos on the ground floor instead of the loos on my floor one level up!
