Have to say a special THANK YOU to xsticher for those yummy recipes last month and thanks to maggiebee for the humorous poem.

March is a tough month, it can be easy to be good in January and February after the excesses of Christmas but keeping going can be tough.

Do you have any particular motivation tips we can share?

Here is last months thread

I keep thinking about the Ed's question of motivation. One good motivator that I think is VERY important is all of you. Your support and finger pointing when needed is very helpful for keeping on track. Thanks to the faithful few and onwards and downwards...it seems we have all been very good this week, so let's keep up the good work.

Good for you, Maidup, the pair of us seem to have made a good start. Let's hope we can keep it up and never have to go on that naughty stool!
Good Morning All, Big smile...down a bit.

Onwards and downwards.............
Good Morning all .Down 1lb. I have 3lbs to go to the 10lbs I wanted to lose before the end of the month gaol I gave myself.
I won't be back till late afternoon to read the rest of your comments and I know Xstitcher is also out most of the day so looking forward to reading some good losses. Maidup and Spotit keep up the good work for your loss next week.
Despite being fractionally under intake yesterday, the sales are making out I gained 2¾ lbs in 24 hours ! Making me 1 lb up on the week. (I must have forgotten eating all those pizzas and bowls of lard soup then.) I'm not overly impressed with that. Still not reached the next st barrier and going in the wrong direction. :-(
*SCALES*
>:-(
Snap wendilla, 1lb off this week. I was hoping for more but still, it's in the right direction and 4st 8lb off now. Keep at it OG, you'll get there (are you sure you're not eating in your sleep?). Welcome to Maidup and spotit, nice to have more of us.
Well OG you know where you have to go this week. It's the naughty step for you. It may be a bit dusty as we all seem to have been quite good last week. Well done Jan and Wendilla and all the others who have lost this week...sorry I can't remember all the names....have a vicious head cold that seems to have affected my brain.....
I should have posted a weight yesterday. Still maybe it will make next Wednesday's weigh-in easier. Oh ... except that I'm away for a bit and won't be able to weigh myself. Just realised that.
Thanks xstitcher, glad to hear you're going downwards too and hope you feel better soon.
Well done again Jan. I like you was hoping for more last week but 1 lb is in the right direction.

OG you better get your skates on as you will be lonely on that naughty step .As much as we like you we still don't want to join you on it.
Hi guys.....well Ive neither lost or gained, a plus then I suppose. Note to self.....must try harder, must try harder.

Congratulations to everyone who has gone down a bit, slow is best really.
Hi Lilymoon don't despair. You kicked off with a good 3lb start. This is why it is important to write all your intake down then you can look back over the weeks and easier to rectify it.
Well done everyone who's lost a bit this week. I've only just joined so I will weigh now and compare for the first time next week.

Could I ask you all for your breakfast suggestions? I'm not keen on porridge now that the weather's changed (reminds me of winter) and would welcome your ideas.
I flit between porridge, one of the lower calorie cereals, or toast. The last is more calories but keeps me fuller for longer. But I'm sure the good ones here eat fruit and crispbread :-)
HiMaidup, they say to eat breakfast like a King, lunch like a Prince and dinner like a pauper.......

I dont tend to do that as I breakfast like a King, lunch like a Prince then dinner like a King and Prince.

But a good breakfast is always good....boiled egg or poached with toasted soldiers, beans on toast, cereal branflakes, weetabix....not Frosties or othr sweetened stuff. Or make your own Muesli, you know exactly whats in it then.

Im sure others will have more suggestions.
Hi Lilly. I'm often in a rush in the mornings but am trying to eat better breakfasts so will make more of an effort. I've not eaten a cooked breakfast since I was a child, but I might give an egg a go in the morning and see if I have time to cook it, eat it and wash up. I'll be delighted if I do as I wouldn't have really considered it.

Usually I have toast, or porridge, but I'm trying to cut out bread and as I mentioned I'm not a great fan of porridge in the lighter months. Muesli is another good reminder thank you. I'll buy some at the weekend as I haven't had it for a while and enjoy it with a bit of fruit.

I know what you mean about King, Prince, King though! Me too if i'm not careful.
Can't believe it! I have lost 1pm since Sunday. I know the first few days are the easiest so I will have to try really hard this week. Congratulations to everyone else who has lost this week. Thank you so much all you ABers as knowing you are all there really helps.
That was an hour of your life you'll never get back Spotit3!

I really mean, well done and night night.
Thanks Maidup and hope you lose plenty by Wednesday.
Well done you spotit. They say that we use easily in the beginning if we are following a new eating regime and exercise because most of it is water, but water or not, well done...as long as that dial goes down, that's the main thing. I remember a long time ago a work collegue doing W/W and eating a tin of tuna and a small tin of green runner beans for lunch.....every day.....she really went down spectacularly and with it her personality changed from a rather abrasive young woman to a nice young woman.
