Onwards and Downwards Continues in June

Hi Everyone,

We were looking forward to the warm weather in last month's thread, well we got it didn't we?

Interested to hear about Jan's new wobbler and whether it does the job. Has anyone else done any unusual excercise recently or in the past and has it worked or was it just a bit of fun?

Here is last months thread

Welcome aboard Islasmum...you hit the nail on the head about needing inspiration when the novelty of loosing weight wears thin. This is our strong point that we can help you get focused again. I hope we will work for you.

Well done Maid up that is me while I am on my own and no tempation I do well just don't take me out for the day like yesterday.
Jan you could be right in losing inches I felt by one of my bras that I had lost but did not turn out that way and I still feel I have lost a bit , Will see what happens next week . It won't beat me.
Well done to all who've lost. I have stayed the same, which surprised me as I'd had lots of treats this week. :-)
Well done you notafish. When we stay the same it shows that we can at least control our eating and not let the treats ruin a week altogether.
Well done to anyone who has lost weight - I went to SW for the first time yesterday and they seem quite a pleasant group - I'm amazed at how much you can eat - so I'll try and be good with fruit and veg but the things I'll miss will be cheese, butter and mayonnaise - I realise that you can have them in moderation, but seriously - a matchbox size piece of cheddar cheese?! but I'll try! Am being very bold tomorrow and changing my hair colour, from a highlighted blonde to a warm coppery colour - hope that it looks as nice on as it does in the picture!
What a good idea to change your hair style/colour. It's already giving you a new image of yourself that you will want to live up to thus helping loose those kilos/stones. Self image is really important.
Had my first weigh in last night. Down one and a half pounds, which is quite encouraging as I'd had several lapses during the week. Trying Wendilla's grapefruit juice idea as well as the Slimming World diet, so something looks as though it's working.
Notafish staying the same is better than a gain . I sometimes stay the same too long then have to change around my eating. Works. I find sometimes I am not eating enough

Islamum yes it is surprising how much you can eat. This is my problem sometimes so this week I am changing around my eating.

Unsweetened grapefruit juice has always worked for me Kiki and well done with your loss. I also find it stops me craving for sweet things. I have proved this for myself because if I don't drink it every day I find myself being dragged to the cake isle when I go supermarket.

I am going to aim at more veg this week and cut down on the salad unless it is really hot weather. I am inclined to use too much dressings with salads.
Thank you. I feel ok about staying the same weight. I'll try harder next week.
Wendilla, it's a good point you've made about the salad dressings being fattening. Which dressing has the least calories?
Notafish I don't think you can win with any dressings. What you lose on the low fat content you gain on the carbs so to me it is a losing battle with them. At the moment I have the kraft light thousand island dressing. Also Mayonnaise is not so low as you think some of the low salad creams are lower.
I don't come in here much but thought I would tell you this. I had some clothing alterations to do today for a lady who had lost 3 stone. She said she still had 2 to lose, but she really looked great and said she felt great too. Good luck everyon.
everyone!!
We have a lot of creme fraiche type of dairy products here with lo fat content 6% and down. I use these to make dressings, adding garlic, chopped spring onions and other herbs that I like. I saw that there was a very lo fat creme fraiche in my Overseas Iceland in Spain that was an product from the UK.....just an idea for those who like salads....
Thanks tenrec for that. I know how it feels to be comfortable now in clothes and I bet she was over the moon with losing all that.
Hi Xstitcher I am going to look in supermarket for them .Sounds good.
Thanks for your support tenrec. That was nice of you.

I'm down but only by a little bit...less than a pound. I was hoping for a pound a week.

I shall cross my fingers for the rest of you and be watching with bated breath. Onwards and downwards....
I am just wavering enough to keep me off that naughty step. Only myself to blame. You can't refuse pizza delivery when you get invited to a friends and can't refuse steak and now I am going out with my son on Saturday. Think I will have to hibernate for a week OR two.
I'm down too but by only 1/2lb; slow going here, but at least its downward.
Most displeased. Been annoyed that I keep forgetting to weigh myself, but I remembered today. And it claims I've gone up again, by ¼lb :-(

It's been a variable week, some good days when I was under target, one or two bad days, but overall I can't see why it's gone up again not down.
One good thing Maidup OG and xstitcher we don't give up and that is the whole point of running this thread as it helps us all to keep trying.
Sorry OG it's the naughty step for you and we other 3 who have been here this morning have just avoided it by the skin of our teeth....like you I was hoping for more maid up but maybe next week we will REALLY go down....hmmmmm
