I am an expert dieter. If only I was so expert at keeping it off! I've lost that much weight over the years that you could probably dangle me from a charm bracelet! I'm not losing it for any particular reason, my daughters wedding was 4 years ago and I did it then so I would be happy to look at the photos (which I am). It's just that it was so very hot in holiday (unseasonably warm even for Tenerife) that I was uncomfortable in the bar at night, and I don't want that to feel like that ever again.
I'm not following any particular diet, I find that a recipe for disaster. I have a banana and a couple of satsumas first thing in the morning, then porridge at 10am, then usually nothing until about 7pm, when I will have a usual meal, but I try to limit the amount cream, oil and butter in my recipes. And I always had a few bottles of Budweiser at night too, which I feel is the main culprit. I've given that up altogether (although not for ever, I'm not strong willed enough to do that, even if I wanted to). I relax a bit at weekend so I don't feel too deprived - last night we had a dine-in-for-£10 meal from M&S, and tonight I'm doing roast beef with all the trimmings and a dessert of some kind! But instead if having loads of beef, I will have just a couple of slices with loads of veg. And NO BUTTER in the mash lol!
