Hello all,

I heard the other day that fat-free salad dressing is one of the biggest "No No's" you can eat, mainly because of all the extra stuff they put in to replace the fat!

So as we are almost heading into salad season (even if the weather doesn't quite agree yet) how about some low calorie salad dressing recipies or even some interesting salads that might not need dressing?

We welcome anyone serious about losing weight and we offer support and kind thoughts - not magic fixes, just sensible help.

Don't forget your weekly weigh on Wednesday and remember we don't judge!

Thanks Wendilla. I bet you will have lost a pound by next Wednesday. You're so determined, and you're a brilliant support to everyone on here... so give yourself some of that support :-)

Not a brilliant result for me last week, put on 2 having done a flying visit down to Padstow, guilty of eating afternoon tea, pasty, pavlova, cake, (all these homemade, would have been rude not to!) and loads of toast before coming back on weigh-in day, so no time to right the wrongs. Hopefully I have done enough this week to get back on track. Also struggling with a rotten cold, and feeling less than energetic, though a spot of gardening might help later. I have been stuck around the same weight for a couple of months now, which tells me I'm not really trying, so onwards and downwards!
Hi Sheenamf just like me and I bet you felt guilty afterwards but one good thing is you know you have done it and you know what to do . One really good week should rectify it .I stuck the same for ages and blame the weather but no excuse now. Good luck for next week.
I've at much the same weight now as I was last October so know how folk feel. I daren't say how much the scales claimed I was four days ago ! That said I had a couple of days leave and I think the couple of pub lunches were not helpful. Healthy meats and fresh veg seem to add up horribly compared to a bowl of veg soup.

Hope the cold leaves soon.
I wish I was the same weight as I was a year ago.....
This time last year I was 5lbs heavier than I am now, unless I find I've gone up in weight tomorrow morning, which isn't beyond the realms of possibilty, as I've had a carvery lunch with a bit of everything and an ice-cream sundae. Oh why, oh why. . .
We'll keep our fingers crossed Marijn....sometimes if that is all you have done of the treat side you can get away with it.

I have been very good this week so am hoping against hope for a good weigh in.
Good luck for the morrow Xstitcher and all. If I have lost weight it will be a miracle, but here's hoping.
Ive had a day out today and the diet went well and truly out of the window!! I think the scales will be mean to me in the morning and probably for the next few mornings. :-( Oh well, I will have a few strict days now lol, it was worth it to have the kebabs, the breakfast baguette and the chocolate bars :-))
Good Morning All,
Hmmmm despite my being so good I have stayed the same. Being the optimist that I am I expect that one of these days I shall whoosh down a couple of kilos when the body gets used to me being so good. lol
Not a happy bunny today. Despite all my efforts to be good after getting a kick start last week I have stayed the same. So I have looked out my meal plans that I did this time last year and will follow them as they did work. Can't blame the weather now.
May ?!?

I simply don't understand this. Today's reading says I've lost 1⅞ over the last week, but it's difficult to get my head around. Apparently there was a 1½ lb loss over the last 24 hours (which is a novelty, to drop from Tuesday to Wednesday) but Saturday's reading was way way up on the previous Wedndesday's, last Wednesday being part of a 5 day continuous climb.

I guess i should take the positive however it came. Think i needed it.

Sorry to hear others seem to have stuck. Still at least it's not up, eh ?
Sorry to hear you've had no change W and X; I know how it feels after not moving much these last few weeks. But finally shifted 1 1/2lbs is week, phew.

I did review my menus and my portion sizes. I bought a good variety of fruit this week and had no naughties.... Well except a couple of chips but they were off someone else's plate so they don't count do they?!

Good luck everyone and have a successful May.
Good for you Maydup and OG....I like that bit about it not counting if it is off somebody else's plate, must give it a try.

Next week will be our success story Wendilla...
Ive gained nearly 1lb but im expecting that to go up after my binge eating yesterday on my day out in Wales.

I just need to crack down and work it off now.

I was hoping to have got below 13 stone by now, Oh well, no great hurry, I will get there.

Good luck all!!
Well done Maydup .I shall have to put my naughtys on another plate but not really had any this week.
OG you will give your brain a headache trying to calculate out most days. Bet if you just weigh once you will get a result. lol.
Ratters I will put a bet on with you that you will be below 13 next week and I will lose 2lbs. See if that works.

Ok, Wendilla, I like a challenge!! lol

:-) I feel the need to monitor and try to work out why. Couldn't stand the suspense of not knowing.

I too approached the 13 st barrier, and then my weight decided to go into reverse and gain. Glad to get today's result, a long way to go to return to early February level.

Realised I've run out of home made soup for lunch, so it'll be another commercial tin today. Will try to find the energy to make more this evening.
How about onion soup OG. It must be the easiest to make. I made some last Sunday and there is still some for leftovers tomorrow after my girlie lunch with two super ladies, one being in mid 80's and the other in early 90's. The eldest is the most entertaining person I know and the g&t's will be flowing.
