I have a pension payable in approx 4 years time. I no longer work and have changed my address since last working do I need to notify my pension company of my change of address or will they have it from the tax office.

Do you mean that you worked for the tax office? You would be better to notify them yourself anyway. If it is a Civil Service pension - if you don't know who to contact try Capita Hartshead - try googling it for the address/phone number.

I wouldn't trust the Tax Office to do anything, unless of course it's to hound you for money. I believe last year they made over 2 million errors, so wouldn't trust them with the 'parings of my nails'.

I can't see any reason why HMRC will advise CH where you now live - there is no link between the two.

Husband receives a CS pension and strongly advises that you keep Capita Hartshead informed of all changes of personal details (quoting your CSP Reference if you have it) thus avoiding delay when you eventually receive your pension.

He won't have a CSP number until the pension becomes payable, same with Capita, they only become involved when the pension is due.
Google Civil Service Pensions and email them about your change of address!

Iggy, as i have said before, Capita only become involved when the pension is due. They wont have any record of you. You need to inform Civil Service Pensions of your change of address.

Once an employee leaves a civil service job, but before they claim their CS pension, Capita deals with them, including sending the person annul statements of their future entitlement.

Perhaps because CH don't have your address.

All will be resolved once you have updated your record with them.

You have to tell them - it's not the tax office's responsibility, it's yours!
