transfer money from nationwide to natwest

Is it possible to transfer money from nationwide to natwest via telephone. I had a look on the nationwide website and it says to be able totransfer at your branch you need your passbook OR nationwide card along with form of id and I have niether passbook or card to hand.
The other option I was considering was to sign up online with nationwide and then transfer the money online and then close the nationwide account, but i'm not sure if you can sign up online just to transfer and immediately close?

Yes, if have got a telephone banking facility with user ID, telephone PIN, password etc you can do a telephone transfer. If these haven't been set up it will take maybe a week to set it all up.
Have you tried ringing them and asking?
