To Go Or Not To Go....
29 Answers
The neighbours have a party just getting into swing. (They are actually swingers, but this is not 'one if those' parties.) They have invited me round....
Now folks, this is a dilemma cos I really love a good party. But, as some of you know, I am one week post-major-op, a bit delicate, on painkillers and my middle bit swaddled in dressings. I will not have the willpower to refuse alcohol (I mean come on, I'm ill but not on my death bed).
Should I stay here, or should I go...?

However, I did manage dinner, avoiding the vino on offer.
Really you shouldn't go. But if you really want to go to keep up appearances and not be a party pooper etc. you should go, find somewhere to sit preferably with your feet up and get someone to refill your glass very occasionally, and bring you small titbits to eat. Don't start twisting and dancing, and aim to spend only a couple of hours there or until it gets boring.
