Paying In Foreign Currency
6 Answers
I wanted to send a gift to my girlfriend, however she lives in the US and I live in the UK. Said gift is a bunch of flowers, and obviously sending them from here isn't possible without they being lost, stolen, or ending up dead before they arrive. There is a Walmart store close to her that I can get them from, but obviously they work in Dollars and not GBP. If I were to order them online would the banks over here just take the exchange rate into account or is there something else I have to do ? Help would be hugely appreciated

There should be no problem paying with a card online and have them delivered other than when you fill in your card details you will not be able to put your 'zip code' in. If you pay by Paypal that's the easiest way. I have a grand daughter in Canada and often buy gifts for her from stores within Canada and pay with PayPal. The Card companies use InterBank rates which are usually much better rates than tourist rates.
