i have recently had a ccj filed against me, can they freeze my bankaccount like when you are made bankrupt?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.They have the ability to have your account frozen with a court order so that once you have the money in your account it is sent to them. If you want to withdraw your money you need to get permission from the courts but they will usually let you withdraw up to �500 a week for living etc. But only if they have the court order in the first place.
Hi. Reiterating. Freezing of bank accounts or any other assets can olny be made by the court - this used to be called a 'mareva injunction' (name os a case) but since the Lord Wolfe reforms, is known as something else - not sure what sorry - but I know it is simple.
