Firstly, just keep trying all the usual banks - including Abbey, Alliance & Leicester etc. - they are always after business accounts. Don`t get too upset when getting declined - the banks all have their own criteria. I had to open mine and got very short answer from Barclays & HSBC etc. and then NatWest greeted me with open arms.

thanks for that wellard, did you have ccj?
Sorry - should have included. Yes, I did have CCJ`s and 2. per MONTH agreed repayments to a lot of credit-card companies.

Thanks for answering me wellard, so if i try all diffrent banks tell them about the ccj hopefully one of them will let me open a account.
I agree with Wellard. Keep shopping around. Someone will want your business.

Good luck with your new career!
No CCJs here, but Nationwide has a 'Business Investor' account with no overdraft facility, free banking pretty much, and might well look after you.
