Not sure if this is in the correct place or not, i recently became divorced and took over the existing mortgage on the house, I have got a few endowments and my ex husband is still named on them, in the divorce he agreed to hand them over to me and this is in writing, any idea what I do now to get his name removed, solicitor, building society or write to the endowment people themselves?? Many thanks

It's not quite as simple as that.

What do you mean by 'named on them'. Is it his life that is insured. Or is he (or rather his estate) the person to whom the benefit will be paid on death. Or both of these?

However the endowment company are the best people to ask. They may well wish to change the premiums - particularly if his life is no longer insured.
