I often noticed that some people (all races it seems) have a downward pointing smile, which does not reflect on their attitude and can be misleading at times

Is there a name for this kind of smile ?

I know what you mean, not everyone's mouths point upwards if they smile.

Yes, I'm afraid that I look grumpy if not making a concious effort to look cheerful! - downward pointing smile is a nice way to put it!

I always look grumpy in photos. I don't like smiling in them as I look stupid.
