My ex partner is on my daughters birth certificate but he is not her real dad and i want to no can i take his name of it without him doing a letter sayng why we put his name on the certificate, as he is saying that he is not gonna do a letter so i cant take his name of it and now im stuck on what to do

I think then that he must have falsly filled in your details and signed the form instead of you - you can get him charged with fraud I would think and if it was fraudulently obtained, I am sure that you would be able to re-register her and get a certificate with whatever name you wish. Even if you don't want to get him charged, you could use this as ammunition to get his approval to get the certificate changed.

right i will tell you ok !!! he carnt put his name on the birth if you are unmarried and he defo carnt put his name if he is not the father of the child ... did you tell him he was the father ?
