Are you american???????????

In UK you do not need "permission" to leave home at 16 and can not drive a big lorry (truck) til 21. Smaller vans at 17.
Ayup Bewley - a 16 - 18 yr old can be reported missing in England by their parents and it would take a confident and resourceful young person to turn a visiting PC away.
BB,

I think she means pick up when she says truck.

Any age of person can be reported missing if the circumstances are such that warrant a missing persons report.

At 16 you can marry (in certain circumstances) win 40 million on the lottery and have loads of children.

I can assure you can leave home quite legally.
I take it you were not planning on just disappearing though were you? That would worry your parents and yes I am sure they would go to the police. You are allowed to leave home though in the UK at the age of 16. You are too young though to hold a driving license to drive your truck.
