When your child is sick - you should be a responsible parent & take him/her to the Doctors.

what do you mean by what role to play? when your a parent you don't play a role, you are the role! i assume your a mother, be the mother that you are. if your child is sick you call the doctor, and show them special attention to nurture them back to health!

If you need extra advice, ask one of the child's grandparents - they've raised kids ok themselves! 

Do you mean sick as in ill, or sick as in vomitting?

What other options do you feel there are, aside from parent/home nurse?  This may help us to sort things out a bit for you and give further advice in addition to the clear answers given so far.

We're getting no response.  So either the genuinely concerned parent is busy caring for said sick child, or the whole think was a fairly dumb p*ss take! Hmmmmm.  I hope it's the former, although if that's the case, I worry for the child!!!
