Pregnancy .. natural inducement ??
Any suggestions on anything that can help natural inducement , my other half has 9 days left before her due date and is getting a lot of stick from the one in the tummy !
I've heard of curry / sex / fresh pineapple / etc ...
But are they just old wives tales or do they actually have some effect.
Thanks in advance.

I too made a hot curry and went into labour within a few hours though. Having said that, everyone's different and what works for one may not work for another, unfortunately.
Incidentally, it's no bad thing carrying over the due date. I was exactly 2 weeks with both of mine (was due to go in to be induced the next day with my first and had already gone in to be induced the next day with my second) because it gives them a better chance when they're born as they're stronger. They also look good when they come out so late because they've had two more weeks of filling out.
Hope everything goes well for you, your partner and the baby.
6 days before my son was due my husband and I made mad passionate love then we had spicy chicken wings for our dinner. As soon as I had finished my last mouthful I went into labour and had my son a mere nine hours later. I like to think that early labour was brought on by a combination of the two sex and food. I was particulary pleased by this because after having Ed we were way too tired to have sex for a good few weeks and I managed to have my dinner before all that hard work.
Also a membrane sweep, see

Congrats by the way and good luck! xx
I was 15 days overdue with my son (tried most of the ideas) and only gave in to induction due to spd. Otherwise i would waited and asked for extra monitoring. Term is anytime between 38-42 weeks so you aren't really "overdue" until over 42 weeks anyway. As you can tell not a fan of unecessary inductions! If done before your baby's time (some do it as early as only 40 weeks + 7!) you are more likely to need a caesarean and all that kerfuffle!
