Dont know about any other complications that may arise but for your name to be on the birth cert you will have to attend the registrars office at the time of registration unlike the mother she does not have to go in person for her name to be on there. I would ring the registry office and ask there advice!
you can get a court judgement on this after blood tests but it will need paying for, you need legal advice and you need to actively support the child until such time as the case is decided. It is correct that you would have to go and add your name, if you ask the register office is an appointment has been made for the registration, you can attend at the same time and see what she says. The registration has to be done before the baby is 6 weeks old and could be done at the hospital infact, be careful not to be disruptive but do try to reason with her that years down the road it would be better for the child to have a legal father
