Does anyone have any suggestions for my childs 1st birthday. We are vegetarian, and although I have been a vegetarian all my life this is my first childs party.

I have to agree though that you are repetetive and annoying ansteyg. I'm just glad PunkDaddy has seen sense.

Absolutely. But when you see what the question was about ansteyg had no place posting that. again and again.

And there was I thinking I would get 22 interesting recipes!! The answerbank is just that- if you need help with something, you should ask, and hopefully someone can help. The people who reply are not here to judge, but to give a helpful response if they can. You would not question a person of different religion asking for pork-free recipes, so why have a go at PunkDaddy? Either answer the question helpfully, or do not post a response.

I am sure the party food will be fine, to tell you the truth children get so excited at parties they will not even notice what you are serving.

Agree with Scarlett, answers should be strictly what has been asked, otherwise it is better not to post.

Yes but your child is just one year old and hasn't yet had chance to make their own decision. What about other guests? I suggest a mixture of veggie and alternative.

I don't care what you think.

No child of 1 gets a choice in what they eat, they eat what their parents give them, and seeing as I am a vegetarian that is what my child eats. Contrary to popular belief the vegetarian diet is incredibly healthy and lacking NO food groups. Now can people shut up about it I asked  about vegetarian food for a party.
Then in answer to your question, PunkDaddy, I suggest you don't serve a vegetarian spread, because to do so would be irresponsible parenting.

Forcing a child to be a vegetarian smacks of resentment on behalf of the parent - or simply arrogance. Inflicting a dietry "choice" is as wicked as raising children in a religion, rather than letting them make their own choices about faith (or the lack of it).

DISCLAIMER

I am neither christian or muslim, and no animals were harmed in the making of my party food.

DISCLAIMER

I thought this had finished. Would the people giving unfounded opinions please keep them to themselves. Because in my opinion you are making yourselves look stupid. See how annoying it is. You are forcing PunkDaddy to defend himself where he has no need to.

I asked for ideas for a Vegetarian party, not for personal opinions on how I choose to live my life.

I don't believe in god.

I have a vegetarian friend, and I would never expect to eat meat at his house! He had his 50th party a while ago and offered lots of amazing veggie stuff. We all learnt a great deal about how nice veggie food could be. My sister is also vegetarian and is raising her 2 small kids that way. She believes it is healthier, and they certainly seem to be healthy kids. Each to their own. Luckily we live in a society where we have freedom of speech and freedom of diet!

Just another question- shouldn't AB Editor have intervened in this stupid, unnecessary rant at poor PunkDaddy before a million posts were added? Most of them ARE irrelevant to the original question and should therefore be deleted.

Question Author
I would be happy if all the posts after Ursulas were deleted, including mine. As you say they are irrelevant. Thanks Scarlett each to their own indeed.
