Baby is very protected in there and the fact you are immune is a big bonus. Also chicken pox is as bad as getting measels which can be very dangerous for both mother and baby during pregnancy as you probably know. Just try and relax and not worry too much :)
Ditto, I was 8 months when my 2 yo had chicken pox and told as I was not in first 12 weeks and had had them myself all is ok. And it was although it was hard work with little one in a foul mood and me in a foul mood. Hey ho it got them out the way. I recomend a baby bath with luke warm water and bicard soda in it and a video. Spots dried up real quick. Good luck.
i am a midwife, and generally mum is immune if she has definately had a good dose of chickenpox previously, however some people do not and that is why they get it a second time,i dont think you should wait for a blood test, the advice i usually give to my ladies is to have a blood test soon and then one can be sure, if you were previously screened then that is ok. also it depends on when you came into contact with the person with c p because it is important to be vacinated within a set time of contact.
