Had a show?
86 Answers
Hi ladies. I will be 37weeks tomorrow.
I have been feeling funny today, but put it down to the fact that I have a slight cold and haven't slept well the past two nights. I have been working myself up and have had butterflies because I have been feeling a bit run down that if baby comes early then I simply don't have the enery to push it out! LOL
Anyway, I was getting really hot and sweaty (put it down to the cold) but have just gone to the loo and think I have had a show....... cont.....

Had a bad night last night, belly was aching all night and this morning every time baby moves it sends a shooting pain like I need to pee, but when I go I don't actually need to pee! Shall keep an eye on it, although I don't think it is a water infection, I think bubs is just being awkward ;-)
Cold-wise I'm feeling much better and am going to do some work from home today, then back in the office tomorrow morning and have antenatal appt tomorrow afternoon. Hope doc will be able to tell that baby has engaged now, although I don't think it has because it is still moving round lots and all through last night I could feel it poking out of my left hip and right ribs so not quite sure what it is up to, I still that that perhaps it's arms are on backwards lol
Hope you have a good day xx

Morning ladies,
I too had a bad night Nat. He was moving around like crazy so I kept changing position to se if he'd settle but he didn't. Then I woke up in middle of night with a pain at the top and in the middle of my uterus. That happened 3 times. Then I had low abdominal cramps every so often. I lay there worrying for ages and then fell asleep eventually and yet again all is calm this morning.
Glad your cold is a bit better today. Don't over do it if you are going back tommorrow. Good luck with your anti-natal appt, I too have mine tommorrow.
Have a good day all xx

Morning MBoo, sorry you had a bad night too hun. I can't sit still today! My coccyx hurts like nothing else; I can't get comfy so I sit down for five mins then get up and do something, then sit and then do something else.... I can't concentrate on much and still got achey belly :-(
Oh and daytime TV is rubbish, I am looking forward to changing nappies just to have something worthwhile to do!
I still can't pee properly. I wish I could see what bubs was doing in there, I would find the whole uncomfortable-ness easier to tolerate if I knew that today / tomorrow would be "the day", but knowing me baby is just being awkward little b*gger and I will still be sat here in 4 weeks moaning!

Hia natalie_1982,
You're lucky, I have another 10 weeks to go and feeling so uncomfortable. Going to see physio today for Symphasis Pupis disfunction. Or in my own words, loose hips!
The little one is getting in such funny positions that the moment and when she's on her side her head gets wedged in my ribs! Or that's what it feels like, but she's still kicking my bladder so I assume she's still breech!
Oh the joys! x x x

Ladies - I decided in my teens that I didn't want to have children. I am now 44 and have two furry kiddies.
Reading this thread has reaffirmed that having kids is hard work - and that is before giving birth
Good luck to all of you. If I get broody I will just get a puppy for the kitties to play with.

See, I told you he has other ideas Psy. Already he's stubborn!
I so don't envy you having to wait another 10 weeks Andrea. As Nat says, atleast I know that even if he's late I only have a maximum of 3 wks and 2 days to go. People always told me that the last few weeks feel like an eternity but, my god this is like Groundhog Day!
I've not seen Red on here either, hopefully all is well.

Wolf, did you mean you have two furry kitties? lol
Oh, and if you get broody.... I am sure we can arrange some kind of babysitting service by AB mums, we could put you on a rota. You could have mine on a Monday, MBoo's on a Tuesday, Andrea on a Weds, Psy's on a Thurs, Red's on a Friday, Lorrymac's on a Saturday and then you get Sunday to yourself!
I have three cats. In hindsight, I am thinking that perhaps another cat would have been less hassle than this blooming great lump I am lugging round at the moment.

Yes - my kiddies are kitties. Two year old brother and sister.
My brother has two lovely children. But I have no maternal instinct.
I was just reading in the Daily Mail about some wee doggie that has just had a litter of 10 puppies!
Good luck to all of you - I am off to play 'search the mouse' with little Frankie. His toy mouse that is, not a real one.

Wolf - have fun with Frankie. Raff has a real dead mouse in the garden that she has been playing with for days and every time I go to take it from her to dispose of it she runs away from me and hides it. I just know I am going to find it decomposing somewhere in the house soon.
I am indeed Psy..... bet you can't guess what my real name is lol
The other funny thing that is happening today is I can't stop eating or thinking about food, my appetite is pretty small at the mo due to there being not much room but I have been grazing all day today. God I hope something happens tonight.

It's head isn't engaged yet! In fact, she said it was nowhere near! This baby is playing games with me.....!
Everything else (BP, etc) is fine though so I really should be grateful, I just had pathetic / desperate visions of her saying "Natalie, you're in the first stages of labour..... get yourself to the hospital". More waiting for me then. Only 2weeks til my next appt, and lots more guesswork til then :-)

Morning all - just signing in!
I am back at work now - I forgot what it was like to be out of the house!
Still no sign of mini-nat making an appearance. My mum is convinced it will be coming this weekend, despite finding out yesterday that head is "nowhere near" being engaged just yet.
Hope you're all doing better than me in the arrival-stakes! xx
