Hi everyone.
We're going to start trying for a baby in a couple of months and I just have a few questions and wondered if you may be able to help (with the questions, not the conception itself ;o) )
1) Do I have to finish the whole pill pack before I come off the pill?
2) Do I have to follow all the food and drink guidelines whilst we're trying or just when I actually fall pregnant?

Thanks! x x x x

Its that long since I was on the pill but as I recall you dont need to finish your packet, just stop taking it. As for food guidelines, I think a healthy and balanced diet before conception is good and also take folic acid tablets too, prior to conception (about 3 mths prior), best to have yourself in as 'tip top' a condition as possible.

Best of luck.

Thanks. Do you think I should avoid alcohol all together or just limit it to very occasionally. I'm not a big drinker anyway really but just for meals out etc... x
Hmmmm...... Thats a tough one, the government keeps changing its guidlines every couple of months or so. sometimes its 'dont drink at all' , sometimes it says 'one glass of wine is ok', so basically they dont know.

If you are not a big drinker then I doubt there is any need to worry, everything in moderation as they say. Also you may find that you are not bothered about alcohol when you are pregnant, some people say they just go off it completely.
