It worked for me. I had 4 x 50mg over 4 days. Had really bad cramping when I was ovulating but is worked. No need for it the 2nd time round!

it hasnt worked for me unfortunately, ive got PCOS, had a natural pregnancy last year but miscarried, i also dont have periods so i have to take a drug called provera to 'force' a period... so each situation is different really, depends on what your natural cycle is like, my friend who also had PCOS, and has irregular periods got pregnant on her 2nd cycle of 50mg.. i've had 2 cycles at 50mg, one at 100mg, and im about to start my last cycle at 150mg, ive had no mature folicles with every cycle ( ive had folicle tracking scans every month) also i get horrendous side effects, especially with the 100mg, headaches, extreme mood swings, sweating, sickness, pretty bad :0( so i'd say it depends, good luck though x

lollyone, that good it worked for u. Were u trying for long time before being on Clomid? I have been trying since Oct 09 but proper last month (March), we did bd 2 days in a row after detected first positive on cheapie ov strips, yet nothing worked! It took me 5 months to get preg with my son (from previous r'ship) after coming off BC. My period is now slightly irregular, so i dont know if i did ovulate regular, but notice EWCM every month. So, will try SMEP (Sperm Meets Egg Plan) and see if it works, if not then plan b. GL! xx

fiona81, sorry to hear that it hasnt worked for u. Were u trying for long time before Clomid? What are symptoms of PCOS? Hopefully it will happen for u as i can't imagine being in ur shoes. I feel for u. Let me know how u get on. All these side effects sound nasty, that what im wary of, but hope i dont need it. As u see above, we did on right days, but nothing happened when it should happen. Am only 29 (this thurs), i feel like we have left it bit too long cos it hasnt happened to us yet. My partnet just turned 30. So any age can have problem. So, hopefully it happens naturally with SMEP. Wish me luck..! :)

We were trying for about 11 months. After coming off my pill after 10 years I barely had any periods so was told I wasn't ovulating. However... its been just like this again (no periods) since I had my daughter 14 months ago and lo... I am pregnant again! A big suprise as I had assumed I would need more clomid when we decided to try again. I think this goes to show that sometimes its the pressure of trying to get pregnant that can be a problem. Congrats..! Have a happy & healthy 9 months. Any tips? I think we didnt do enough due to my partner's costochondritis (chest pain painful after movement) that makes it impossible..!! I don't know how i will feel when i see his niece's having a baby girl in 4-5 weeks time as shes only 17 and got preg quickly after meeting a new boyfriend and i wish it was me with the bump. Grrr..!
I was more relax last month as no one bothered us and i feeling bit stressed again that it hasnt happened. So, hopefully it will work. Got an appt with the nurse this Friday and see what she says. I think she will say "Time will come for u as u have only started trying".

Sorry it hasnt worked for u boxtops. So hopefully it will happen for u one day, u never know. Did u have tests to tell that u werent ovulating? As i know that detect lh surge doesnt always mean that will ovulate. Some do, some don't so hope i not one of them. So, its been 10 yrs since had my son. Wish me luck.! xx

I have been trying for a baby for 3 years, had test about a year after trying to find I have PCOS, after many more tests they eventually put me on Clomid, and I have been put on and off that over the course of about nearly 2 years, and I dont know if it was the clomid or I was given a bit of good luck, but I am now pregnant :-) I found out about 4/5 weeks ago, I go for my first scan next Tues, I never thought I would ever get there after doing so many tests and them being negative, I never thought I would ever see the day where I got a positive!! I never had any side effects and I did a few of them ovulation test and it always said I wasnt ovulating. Just dont give up and Im sure it will happen eventually. good luck x

Congrats xxsparkerxx..! U both must be over the moon..! :) Am feeling pretty positive it will happen for me when time comes for me, let nature take its course, it would be nice to see BFP unexpect like i did with my son. So, thanks all for the info. Good luck all..! Baby dust.. xx

we are yes, cant wait for my scan, but at the same time want to get there to make sure everything ok, Its all worry isnt it :-)

just relax and try to forget(know its easier said than done)
