Children saying worrying things
23 Answers
Met with a friend last night and she was telling me that just as she was leaving the house her OH was bathing their 3 year old son when she heard him saying, 'Daddy, you slap Mummy's face when you come home from the pub and drink beer'. Then started sort of smacking his own face.
Now, her OH has certainly never smacked her in the face (don't think he'd be brave enough) or otherwise and neither of them smack the children. She has no idea where it's come from.
Aside from worrying that he might repeat that at nursery and people thinking something's going on at home, she's also wondering if maybe another child at nursery said something that he's picked up on. She's going to try and get it out of him if she can but I suggested when she drops him off there today she should tell the staff he'd said some odd things. Can you imagine if he said that to the wrong person, they'd think all sorts!
What would you do?
