Sil Coming To Stay

OMG, SIL has just told us she is coming to stay for 2 weeks . EEEK ! I will have to behave and become meek and mild for a fortnight.

I was just looking at some old haunts in Spain. There are one or two places I miss visiting.

I wouldn't allow it either.....or I would book myself a nice holiday somewhere for the whole two weeks.

Just after MrG died two friends from over the sea and far away invited themselves to stay with me......
It was the fortnight from hell....she was so demanding and such hard work..and unbelievably mean....
I have lovely friends who helped by inviting them for dinner/drinks and so on but the stories I could tell about their stay and behaviour....well you wouldn't believe me....
As they drove away on their last day I was over excited and began texting friends....
YAY!! Yahoo...yippee...they've gone!!! Hurray....never want to see them again!!!
Unfortunately two of the friends who had helped me had exactly the same names as the visiting horrors....and guess which couple I sent the text to?..... :-)

Amazingly it didn't, Woof....a couple of days later I had a phone call....things were not going too well at their next port of call.....could they come back for another week!

I can be quite quick to come up with a tale when I'm pushed......so they didn't......and of course now I have moved to a very small, one bedroomed house..... ;-)

I got sick of one friend telling me she was coming "home". Hello - home - where is it - oh mine - no, not after 15 years of my being miserable in my house the whole time she is here as she never shuts her mouth 24 hours a day.

Contacted me last year 3 times by email 2 phone calls which I didn't "hear". So she has not been back - Thank God.

Her attitude was - ach Jenny will be delighted to have me.

As Ian Paisley said - no no no surrender LOL.

Know you are doing it for Mr Sam but isn't awful to be in a position.

I knew it I knew it - there I was telling you a friend of mine will not take a hint - just after receiving a voice call to say she is in Donegal and she is coming to Belfast on Wednesday. Arrrrghhhhh LOL

I don't know if it is or not Pasta - her call was cut off by something- all I got she was in Donegal and coming up on Wednesday. I think they do a lot of touring in their mobile home - I do hope they don't think I am putting them up even for one night and you can't swing a cat in my cul-de-sac right now never mind a caravan. Facing me there are 9 cars parked belonging to one house. Yep that's true.

Every time she has come to stay with me - I nearly have a personality change. I become subdued, don't wanna talk, am not inviting or friendly so that takes a lot out of me. She is a person who just completely ignores all that.

When she did come here to stay - she did completely take over my house. I can't stand her now.

I can only bear any of my family to stay for one night, and I get on with them.
If I were Samurai I'd be suddenly remembering another long-standing holiday plan with friends.

thanks jo for clarifying that a bit cos that's just the way I feel. I do hope she is not looking to stay here - oh a bit of the call is she is ringing me in the morning again.

the last time she came to me I told her I couldn't pick her up at the airport and that it was only £10 for the fare.

Oh I'm not paying that bloody amount - I'll get somebody to pick me up and she did. Now this lady is a millionaire believe me.
