Abbey, it's good that you tried in the care home - but you obviously couldn't have been what they were looking for (and much the same has happened in the cleaning firm). I think you're right to be looking for a different kind of job altogether, but I think you'll have to be very realistic.

14.53 How?

Neveracrossword - I think that is really unfair to the carehome - they tried to help the OP.

they kept her on and reduced her hours despite her not being up to the job! I think the care home was more than fair

Yes, Redhelen, the care home definitely gave Abbey enough chances to prove herself - despite that, she never turned into the kind of employee they'd wanted! It's sad, too, that Abbey repeated the experience with the cleaning firm....

They were fine with b&m I didn't like the manager. I went to jobs fair there were few I enquired about and got leaflets I got a career meeting Friday so hopefully get some success

Abbey, for success you need more than 'hope'! I'm sure you've realised, after the past few months, that to keep a job these days you have to work really hard, have the right attitude and so on.

Yes went for interview today but don't expect to get it

Abbey, interview for what - the cleaning job in a school , the production administrator thing, something else entirely?

Omg I am soooooo confused reading this!

Question Author

Production Administrator

I'll help you clarify anything smowball- apart from the "Yes that it and no" post

Abbey, at least you were going to the interview only for the experience - that job would never have suited you in a million years!

Do we know what the job involved?  With that title it could have been working on a production line and quite mundane.

Naomi, Abbey posted the full job description, duties involved etc on her other 'Do I take this job?' thread... but she's referred to it several times in this present thread.

Okay.

Question Author

After going to the interview no I don't think it would suit me

Abbey, was the interview experience as useful as you'd have liked? Did you pick up on certain questions, answers, that could maybe help you do better when you go after a job you WOULD like? It'd be great if you took something away from the experience. You weren't at all enthusiastic about the job, so I expect you won't be disppointed if you're unsuccessful.

You've had a busy day Abbey  .. Interview, Job Fair and still found time to post to AB.  Hopefully, your Careers meeting on Friday will help with decision making as to what you really want to focus on for your future.

Question Author

No I won't as I don't think I could pick up as quick as they want. Jobs fair was only 20 mins and interview different times apart

Which leopard print top will you wear?  What a dilemma
