Abbey, I'd only stop talking to him if that's actually what you want to do. Just be careful about what his intentions are.

I met my current partner twice before moving in with her. The first time I met her I ended up staying at her house over night. I only went back home because of a medical emergency, otherwise I may have never left. We had been talking to each other for several months prior to meeting and we were DJ's for the same radio station, so it's a little different.

You can still message him and get to know him. I'd be very careful if he continues to try and get you to stay at his house. That's a red flag to me.
