Abbey, staying at his isn't obligatory.  When you think know him well enough and when you really want to stay there is good.  Don't be pressured into doing what you don't want to do - by anyone.

Didn't he ask you 'wanna stay over at mine soon?'

Perhaps he not wanting to pay for everything on another date night? 

You both could always go for a walk on the park one daytime. You could offer to take/make a picnic.

IMO, it doesn't depend on the number of dates, you should not agree to stay at his until you know him really well and feel you would like to take things further.

Do you think he will suggest more dates? It doesnt sound like it. He sounds as though he prefers to go on 2 dates with a girl then expects her to go stay at his. Probably expecting sex. 

Has he discussed the two of you going out again anytime, or meeting up somewhere?
