I would suppose it is possible, albeing how old they are, and if they come knocking on your door and say they are x's children, but as CheekyChops has said, permission would be needed, from either him, or his children, dna etc,

If you knew the name and DOB of the child, you could get a copy of the birth certificate which should give the father's name.

You could put nay name you wanted on a birth certificate. The mum could put the incorrect name down and only a DNA test will prove who fathered the child.
