I suppose in terms of names I was lucky, mine is quite unusual really. My mum was very ill when I was born so Dad had to register the birth. He just stuck down a load of names that came into his head without discussion with my mother. Unfortunately, his family had a tradition to name their daughters after prize cows, so I did well not to end up as Ermentrude.
I like Rowan - suitable for a boy or a girl - unusual but still traditional - easy to spell as well. It has something to do with Red - particularly a good name for a red head.

maya - louise

has anyone called their kids weird names my daughter used to go to preschool witha girl called megan bacon honest to god
I once had a dream I had a daughter and I named her Sophie Jane, (Jane is a name handed down to the first born daughter since our great grandmother died), ever since then the name has stuck with me. I'm also very fond of Chole, Elinor and Olivia.
China, you are aware that to have a baby, you usually need to give birth to it? Maybe you can ask if they would kindly put you out with a swift blow to the head, so you could wake up after the battle? ;O)
Too posh to push all the way Max!

I am actually hoping that should I ever reach the stage where I'm pregnant, my squemish nature will lessen as my maternal instinct kicks in. Admittedly it's more of a hope than a dead certainty.
LT needs to get alife the woman only aksed for name suggestion not your opion. iknew a Lucy she was gay so should we be calling LT juicey Lucy????????????? LOL
i love girly names like Lily,Melody and Rose, they sound so pretty.
I re-iterarate Grace.. pretty, firm, holds her own..can be called Gray .. lots of alternatives..
Can i just say that it is totally disgraceful that someone has written in to get advice on baby names, only to have a complete fool criticising anybody who makes a suggestion. (Lucy) It is absolutely pathetic! I hope your friend finds a lovely name for her little girl. x
Why is there dislike for Lucy Thomas? What am I not reading or seeing.
