Any Dubonnet drinkers?
I have been a Dubonnet fan since i could legally drink nearly 40 years ago. I bought a bottle recently and it definitely tastes and smell different and not for the better. So...it it me or have they changed it?

I'm on an economy drive trying to run my freezer down and found them lurking behind various tubs of God knows what .It'll be surprise dinners for the rest of the week .

I have spates of it and have had for years. One morning while DH was still at work, I was getting breakfast, bent over to get stuff out of a low draw, just like every day and my back went kersproing. Ever since then I have times when its more likely to play up for no particular reason, although I suspect wet weather doesn't help. When its not playing up, I can bend stretch, twist, lift weight, anything; when it is playing up even lifting my arms can set it off. If it gets to the point where a few hours rest and paracetamol won't fix it then I'll see the doc. Given that I worked in the NHS when lifting people manually who weighed more than I di was a day to day event, I think its not surprising.
I love that word Woofy Kersproing!! I'm going to write that one down.
I know what you mean about lifting people. I did my share in the sixties when there was no Health and Safety lifting gear in hospitals. We even had to do it on our own sometimes with the little/lighter patients but mostly there were 2 of us and there were methods but it still gave you back ache. I used to do 12 hour shifts. 3 days then one short day. I loved the work but went back to accounts clerk when I was having probs and they wouldn't let me do part-time.
Neti I'm still aching after climbing all those stiles.
I feel a bit better tonight haven't notched up 'event number 7' so we'll see what happens in the night again.
I can't remember the last time I had a fish finger Woofy & Shaney. Probably when Steady was a kid.
Pot washing time again have a good night Biddyfriends everywhere. Oight Oight!!

Snap shaney, I decided to clear out my 2 freezers, but instead of eating the left-overs (frozen to keep Mr N happy) I bunged them in the rubbish as he will have forgotten all about them now, there was a bit of shepherd's pie, a bit of tuna lasagne, small portion of cous couc veg, a huge bag of something orangey, lots of other bits and pieces so binned the lot and taken to the rubbish tip.
Hello again
Lol .. great biddies minds think alike. We did have a proper dinner tonight though .I cooked a joint of brisket I defrosted .
It was cold enough for here for a roast .
I think I can eke the remainder of it out until about Friday .
Hope you feel better tomorrow Jude .You too Woofy with your back .I seem to have permanent lower back ache along with the hips .I did a lot of lugging about during my working life ,not people though ,just heavy stuff .
Did you see Frankie tonight btw .I thought it was quite good and thought of you as it was about district nurses and all that sort of thing .Although I doubt district nurses would run around hospitals in party clothes ,but stand to be corrected :)
Goodnight folks ,sleep toight .

Damn, I missed Frankie! Will have to find it on catch up. Back is all better here thank you. Just as well, we have a night of roaring wind and Shughy thinks that its monsters coming to get him. He's just settled to sleep bless him. He's such a big muscular athletic boy with a bay like the Hound of the Baskervilles and he's such a softy.
I bought some samphire in tesco's today and now not sure what to do with it...will have to google some recipes.

Just steam it or boil it quickly and eat it with some melted butter ,a twist of black pepper and a squirt of lemon or vinegar Woofy .Give it a really good rinse in lots of running water first as it's on the salty side .I love samfer ,as we call it here .Mmm...mm .

Very windy here but dry after a really awful night ,sloshing rain pelting on the windows and the wind roaring down the chimblies .I see they had snow in Devon .
Anyway ,Good Morning folks I and hope you are all ok today.

sorry to hear that jno (teeth not lasagne, you are welcome to that, especially the Heston version). We are just about awake here, final settling came at about 1.30. Shughy wore himself out and decided that provided we could stay downstairs he could settle to sleep. To be fair, my bedroom is on the windy unsheltered corner of the house and it does get very noisy up there. Its still grey and windy here. The boys have gone back to sleep. I might make a move in a minute.
dentist decided to leave it, he thinkd the root's broken but isn't sure despite two Xrays. If it is it will (some day) need to come out and as it's in the front I'll need another implant. But apart from slight tenderness it isn't actually causing trouble so we've agreed to monitor it, 600mg of something as needed etc.
Lumme, 2 inches of snow in Shropshire, wot is going on.
Am now waiting for AA as my car stinks of petrol. Don't use a mobile phone near it, they said, as if I'd want to talk to petrol.

M orning all, or not as the case may be.
Had a lovely hug from my bus driver friend as I was walking to town, he rushed over and hugged me, lovely, and then we had a natter, but was so nice.
Warm but overcast here, so suits me, hoards of girries and locals and traffic as it is hippie market day in the next village of Es Cana and they come through SE to get there. Heaving!
Have called Sony and they are doing a diagnostic test of the lappy for 4 hrs so am stuck on phone or desktop. Hija came in at 6am but that's fine as it is her day off today. Someone let the cat in, I was fast asleep and didn't hear anyone or anything!
Hope you are all OK. Poor jno how I sympathise, you do suffer with your teeth, mind you one of mind is very tender to the touch, but not sure if it's the root canal one, or the one that is only half there!
I know I've asked before but isampfire? what is it and what does it taste of please.
