I have been a Dubonnet fan since i could legally drink nearly 40 years ago. I bought a bottle recently and it definitely tastes and smell different and not for the better. So...it it me or have they changed it?

Samphire is what we in Norfolk call poor mans asparagus Neti.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samphire
It tastes of the sea.
I would like to try that, I love asparagus and we get loads of it growing wild here. I love trying new foods.
I've started my "wobble" walk again, slightly veering off but luckily I can correct it before I walk into the traffic! Must be something to do with this cold which appears to have gone but I think it is still lurking!
sinus blockage might have affected your sense of balance slightly, neti? As it's related to the inner ear... at my worst coughing I've been very dizzy and having to hold on to things.
I think its affected my laptop too. 5 hrs it's been tested , no fault found! just reinstalling progs after factory reset. Right here goes. On phone atm
oh dear, intergalactic conflict in Norfolk

well the samphire was disappointing. I think old growth had been picked as a lot of it had a woody centre, as woody as a rosemary stem. Flavour was nice though.
Sorry i can't help you with your laptop Neti.
Laptop back to normal (huh normal that 's a joke!) but up and running and a very nice young man from Sony has a date to call me tomorrow after 12.30, and see how we go from there. am desperately trying to remember all the ghastly difficult stuff I had to do when I first had it, am getting there.
Oh that's a shame Woofy .It should have a bit of a bite to it but not woody more crispy .I'm always wary of this sort of stuff in supermarkets .I bought some white asparagus in Morrisons some time ago .I pounced on it because Mr S loves it and didn't realise until I got it home that it had been flown all the way from Mexico and it tasted like it too ! It was like eating balsa wood .
I can get fresh samphire in season on the market for 50p a bag and it's always tasty .
I've had a nice afternoon round at my brothers and it didn't turn out too bad weatherwise here although it's still very windy .
Hope you get your lappy sorted Neti .I'm no help I'm afraid .I can't even work the DVD recorder :)
Lol Jno .....We're fair game for piddle taking . It sounds silly but things like that get on my clack .It gets boring after a while .
The one thing I cannot stand wherever it is, is medieval jousting and fighting, hate it with a vengeance!
or, before jno comments! the re enactment of same! x We have a medieval fayre in Ibiza town atm and we all decided wordlessly not to go, the ony time I went was 2 yrs ago and my tooth fell out, ok not technically their fault, but hey!

I know what you mean Net, it can get a bit toe curling. The only exception was when the Sealed Knot descended on Wells one Bank Hol. It was lovely weather and they filled the town, recruiting in the market, picking quarrels (fake ones) in the streets and generally acting the part.. They took the pubs over and were singing and enjoying themselves. They did it really well, it felt like the whole town had moved back in time.
shaney there actually was a woody centre to the stems, you could shred the outside off with your teeth, leaving the wood. The tips were tender and quite tasty but most of it wasn't tips.
I agree about NFN, its an old joke and was never a good one
Am I on a different planet or what? What is NFN?
Normal for Norfolk Neti .
In other words, inbred yokels :)
I'm off to my hayrick .Oight Oight folks .

Sleep well Shaney and everyone else
Good morning frm a wet Ibiza. I had a very good night's sleep but Mr N was apparently up and down with the cat, who is becoming a nuisance, at least hija only comes in once.

Better get up I suppose, it is 9.32am.
Morning all....sun's shining and it feels slightly less cold than yesterday (accu said it was a real feel of 2C!).
I keep having relapses and feel fluish and wiped out, I'm fed up with it.

oooh, I love a bit of dressing up and a good joust.
Good Morning Biddyfriends. Just a quick hello. My 'prob' is really on the mend and with a 'preventative tab' inside and my weekend bag I'm off South for a few days. I'm going to a charity football match on Saturday at a famous football stadium. No not Wembley:) Professionals against another group!.
Hope you all have a good weekend and keep well. Love Jude x
Have a good time Jude...I think I'm going west :)
