Dos anyone know where I can get this mail order please, my usual supplier doesn't seem to have any?
Just to be clear, I am not interested in alternates unless they are also a version of Canadian Club, or (and I mean this nicely) opinions on my taste in alcohol.

Many thanks

I hope biddies are feeling better all round. Maybe the weather warming up helps, though I don't know if that's happening everywhere, but it's supposed to be 12 degrees here tomorrow (and wet). Woofgang, OH had a bug too, one of those really unplesant chesty things, and is still having a nap every afternoon, despite being otherwise just about recovered.
Good morning everyone.

Nice and sunny here, still in bed.

Hope you are all feeling bright and breezy.

Yes shaney have watched the first two episodes of The Americans, it's amazing, get straight back in, love it.

morning all. Its damp and grey here and we are having a go slow (a very nice one) We're having a spate of powercuts. The local substation that serves the estate has spates of playing up, it always has had. You'd think after 20 plus years they would have got is sorted but no. heigh ho I have had coffee so it could be worse.
Morning all
Not quite so cold but not exactly warm either .
Hope you're all ok .
I tried your link Neti but Firefox won't permit me to do anything ..tut.
A great big warning comes up .I could continue ,at my own risk ,but I won't chance it for now .I'll have to consult my technician :)
That's a nuisance Woofy ,hope it's back on soon .
Good morning...nothing bright 'n breezy here, it's the same here weatherwise as shaney, 7C but it doesn't feel like it. Some sun would help.
Went to bed last night, switched the tv on and was annoyed to see I'd missed the first hr of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (not seen it yet and now there's a new one!)....the good news is, it's on again on Saturday, 9pm, Film4.

Windy here, but good drying day.

I have to let Firefox permit it shaney but it's always been ok for me.

Our usual pavement cafe is closed for refurbishment and by golly it needs it! so we have to sit on the posh side of the street, do not like it one bit and the coffees are 25€ extra - grrr!
oooh no not 25€ that would be ridiculous! They are 25c and that is ridiculous enough!
isn't there a Film4 +1 for people like you, Robinia?
Lol...'people like me' who are an hour behind the rest of the world? Well it was listed on the menu but when I selected it it said service unavailable.
Thanks Neti ..I'll get Picky to do it next time he comes over then if it goes wrong I can blame him :)
Oh that's a shame Robinia ,try and stay awake to watch on Sat .I'll keep nudging you ..lol.
It's a lovely film ,a must see.I've seen it three times now !

hello all, power is now back (it went off again shortly after I posted) for how long we have power I have no idea. They sent round a van with hot drinks and lunches but I didn't bother because we had had brunch. Its quite a nice day here, bright and mild.
Hmmm, I've never had meals on wheels during a power cut...but most people round here have gas too.
Speaking of cooking, I've just seen a report on the news about asbestos in homes. Did any of you have an asbestos pad for simmering your stew n dumplings in ye olden dayes? I did :o/
Question Author
so did I Robi, many many years ago. I remember my Mum had a posh ironing board with an asbestos pad to stand the iron on as well
Still got one here Robi, it was mum's and I don't use it, dirty old thing!

Been to a photo exhibition with Mr N about the Hippie market in the 1070's, but what a disappointment, just posers and the band, not normal folk like me anywhere in sight! so we tottered off for a couple of beers sitting outside a pavement cafe, yes the same posh one that I frequent atm in the mornings, nice to see all the lights come on, on the fountains etc. On way home we passed a kebab shop so I had to have a donor one, delicious it was, Mr N dutifully ate the spag bol that I had already prepared.
Oh yes, I'd forgotten about the ironing board...we're all doomed.
Oh terrific news - can't belive it, elder sis who had the secondary cancer, may not have it after all !! The growth on her neck has not grown a bot in three years, and may well be benign, so next week she is having a resonance scan and a CAT scan, and if all's the same, they are taking her off the medicine, can you belive it? after all these years of thinking she was dyind?? I am over the moon. Told her now that she is not dying, she has to eat and eat a lot more, as I think she just didn't bother. So so happy!!
Cricket neti, the 1070s? I knew you were getting on bit....but you're looking remarkable for your age :)

> > > > >
Ooops hippie market in the 1970's obviously not the 1070's !!
Wow, what terrific news neti...so happy for her and the family!!!
Thwacks Robinia you just couldn't wait to correct me could you!!
