Dos anyone know where I can get this mail order please, my usual supplier doesn't seem to have any?
Just to be clear, I am not interested in alternates unless they are also a version of Canadian Club, or (and I mean this nicely) opinions on my taste in alcohol.

Many thanks

Haha..well you elbowed your way in front of me
wonderful news, neti (not your age, I don't mean)
M N says not to get too excited but I am really happy, mind you two beers help!
Question Author
Neti, that is excellent news! (not the beer, your Sis)
That's lovely news for you Neti .I wish her all the best .

We had an asbestos ironing board years ago.I think oven gloves were made from it as well at one time .
Horrible dangerous stuff which killed my Dad and my eldest brother.
But they didn't get it from ironing.
Night all ,sleep toight .

I was quite awake tonight, think I can sleep now, oight oight
right, watched Wolf Hall to the end, first time I've seen a serial through since Fortunes of War I think. Loved it.
Morning all. Looks like a lovely day, do not want to leave my bed, but I will.

Yes we also had a wooden ironing board with a badly burnt asbesdos iron rest. Dad was a tailor and was ironing when a bomb dropped near the house so he , mums and the twins had to rush to shelter, and he left the iron on, it did made a black burn mark but held! I think Dad caused more damage than the bomb. We used that board for years after.
Morning all
Bit dull and drizzly out there ,hope you're all ok though.
Yes I enjoyed Wolf Hall .
I wasn't too keen at first ,it seemed a bit slow but I'm glad I stuck with it .
I think it was 'cos I'd read ,or tried to read the book ,which was awful and thought it would be same.
I'm off out this afternoon with my SiL to visit a friend who's had a hip replacement .Tea ,cakes and chat . Well ,I'm hoping there'll be some cake :)
Morning all...thoroughly miz here, wet and windy....milder for now though.

Daffodils? (ab logo) Bit early for those in Derbyshire, I've got snowdrops, crocuses and primula type flowers at the moment.
Question Author
hello all, wet and mild here too. I have got miniature irises out and crocusses, loads of snowdrops, hellebores and some daffs nearly. The camellias have started too. All the bulbs are looking lovely, green shoots everywhere, well worth the work last year.
Good afternoon everyone. I'm pleased you've had a good time with your sis Woofy. Great news Net about your sis.
This morning started wet and windy so I went off in my car to visit my elderly aunt and uncle. I was there for a couple of hours and am now home and the sun is shining, lovely but don't know how long for,
Been busy watchng football since Saturday. Derby are really doing well at the mo.
Has any one been given help with their power bills. EDF wrote to me a couple of months ago and asked me to apply and then yesterday they said they are crediting my account with a very reasonable amount with the next few days. It comes to over £100 I couldn't believe it. I wouldn't have known anything if they hadn't written to me. Then I had a letter from EE telling me their prices we increasing but mine wasn't included as it was a certain type of contract and mine would remain the same. How about that then. Think I'll buy a lottery ticket in Saturday. Could be winner even it if was only £25"

Off now to wash pots

well done for getting money out tf the energy tyrants, Jude.

But remember - a washed pot never boils!
Jno, haven't you got any trolling to do? ;)

No Jude, no one's offered to pay my energy bills. The next lot are going to be steep if it doesn't warm up pdq.
