where do kids get their ideas from?
I'm minding the farm shop whilst my SIL has a dinner break. Just had a mother, young baby and a 12 year old lad in (He had a badge on his jumper saying '12 today' Anyway, she told me they were from Basingstoke coming on a caravan holiday and she wanted some sausages and bacon and a chicken. We've sold a lot of chickens today and I had to go across the yard to the cold storage to get more. Some chickens were running around the in their covered run next to the barn, the lad was watching them, and his mom said, there you go 'Andrew' (not his real name) that's how your chicken looks before it's turned into nuggets'. He told his mother in no uncertain terms that she was an idiot! So i pointed to the chickens running around and said what are they? he said chickens. So then I held up a prepared bagged chicken up and said what's this? he frowned and said chicken? but sounded unsure I said yes, but without head and feathers, and your mum's right. He couldnt believe it . His mother looked so embarrassed.
