Not using dripping is a mortal sin!
I'm a diving instructor, although I've not done it for the last few years. The coast here is rubbish. You have to go north of the Humber, or west from Dorset for any decent diving. I also get seasick, which is a bit of a problem. I used to keep the Stugeron company in business!

Snap - I've been an instructor for more years than I care to admit.
stuffed tomatoes/capsicums , stuffed with cous cous etc
At least you live on a bit of coast with some decent diving, Mrs O.
Oh god - I can just picture my mum's old chip pan - with the mesh basket embedded in the solid dripping and the fascinating patterns as the fat began to melt over the heat.

The whole thing being a significant health/fire hazard - but the chips were ace :)
Well, speaking of sporty things, I've been sitting here in my running kit, with my feet up, slurping coffee and watching Saturday Morning Kitchen.

I'm think going to trot along the prom.

Ooh, the chip shops will be open by the time I ...

NO ... STOP IT !
LOL Dave ... that was REAL cooking !!

Okay, guys ... be good ... x x x
buy a bag or frozen grilled mediterranean veg ( iceland ones are nice) . cook in oven in shallow pan following directions. Add 1 cup dried wholemeal couscous and one cup of vegetable stock and juice and rind of one lemon into the veg, cover with foil, turn off oven and leave 30 mins -fluff up with a fork, sprinkle toasted pine nuts on top and serve. Any leftovers will freeze or serve with chops or sausage for non vegans. Beware of 'fake' meat as its not vegan!
Vegan pastry: use Trex, a pure veg fat, using 20% less than if using lard/butter; makes lovely pastry; fill your pie with veg.
Pulses - and veg - in a sauce: instead of milk use Oatly "milk", thicken with flour as usual, using Trex instead of butter; top with mashed pots using Pure dairy-free spread instead of butter.
Watch vegetable stocks if shop bought, they may be suitable for veggies but not vegan's because some of the ingredients are derived from animals

Toasties - well bread is'nt Vegan - unless its unleavened bread - yeast is a living organism and some vegans class it as 'animal product' like honey
