Thanks Howard, your link answered it better than i could describe them - they are yummy!
Dijon mash is also good, but there's just something about phili mash... :-)
We always have a pile of fried onions with ours & Marrowfat peas. "Yum"

jem (i think I know whats for tea tomorrow night now Tah)
Star, there's no set amount. Whatever you fancy, really. If I'm just making mash for myself, then it's usually two tablespoons... but I do like my mustard.
Marco, Dijon mash wins over phili :-)
When you make it, it'll be Dijon and when I make it it'll be phili, deal...?
Jem I love marrowfat peas but the OH hates them, I'm going to buy a tin tomorrow.
Lol!!!

Deal! :-))
sausage and mash is better with onion gravy, no question... who suggested baked beans!!!!
Ark, I have to agree!

My kids like bakes beans, but not for me :-)
Baked beans are rank... I don't understand why they are so popular =s
I understand people love them.... but NOOOO! not for me thank you ;-)
the combination doesn't sound right to me either...

some other good ideas though
I love sausage and mash, but the gravy I make is thick onion gravy with chopped mushrooms and a spoonful of black pepper. Great.
Try a port and mustard gravy elevates it to a dinner party option
