Potatoes do 'cook' in the microwave but they don't have the flavour of ones properly baked. I always finish them in the oven or grill to crisp the skin. I usually do pretty large ones and they take up to 15 mins for the 2 at 750W. Scrambled egg can be cooked perfectly in a microwave, don't cook on full power, stir a couple of times and take it out while still fairly runny . I always do mine in the microwave and it's always perfectly creamy as it should be, I can't bear rubbery egg.
