I have a new slow cooker and have not used them before. Does anyone know of a simple recipe I can try which involves slow cooking meat (perhaps turkey?) and veg, to make a sort of stew?! I'd be very grateful for any ideas!

Brown the meat. Chuck it all in with some herbs and spices. Add stock. Bog off and enjoy life for 8 hours or so :)
Rabbit, Neck of lamb, Oxtail ? Seal meat by dry frying in slow cooker, when meat is browned add veg & stock. Bring to boil & simmer for xhours (till your ready to eat) with crusty bread.
I was given a slow cooker for Christmas and mine came with a small recipe book but I did a bit of a cheat beef stew.

Cubed beef, stew veg pack, packet of beef casserole mix. Cook for 3-5 hrs on high or 6-8 hrs on low.

It was great!
Tesco and morrisons do packets of cubed turkey thigh that makes a stonking stew. You add a gravy or stock mix to the fried off meat with some cubed onion and cut up carrot. Add cubes of potato as well if you wish. chuck in together with a little water and enjoy.
