I hate it!
I want my own food on my own plate, thank you very much. When did this trend for sharing a pudding start?

I can understand, perhaps, a mixture of finger food so each can have a taste of different things but share one pudding in one bowl? Never.

don;t ask me to share a hot dog though
Four of us had a lovely Indian meal last night, we all shared each others. But nicking other people's food is a bit different.
Our local pub does shared deserts, you get 3 or 4 small portions of diffrent deserts so 2 or more can have a taste of each. Good idea.
/don;t ask me to share a hot dog though/

lol...okay, I won't, you'd just start taking pics!
this is true, i must do something with those.....
Be nice, McFluff!
hc - I thoroughly agree with you, unless it is clearly communal like with Chinese food sometimes.
"Rude and a mob ruler :-)"

Lol :))

Hot dogs are always difficult to eat when there's other people around.
It's a bit like eating a banana. Avoid eye contact!!

DT, not even then, if i ordered chicken chow mein, i wouldn't, it isn't nice, but some other delicacy, then why should i share it, get your own,
and mayonaise out of a giant nipple
And an escargot two tine fork makes for a nice skewering weapon.

Remember when thy had plastic cutlery on the planes and then they went back to a plastic knife and a metal fork. I maintained that I could do far more damage with the latter. Drive it and twist - hard.
Fluff has pics of my OH shoving a hotdog in my mouth.

^^that sounds rude...
Did I eat Mayo out of the nipples? Or did he?
i do its true :-)

new av coming up mebbe.....

no-one did, i squirted it on my hotdog and ginge got the giggles and then we both did and it got properly silly from then on

Loooooooll! Shoving *his* hot dog into your mouth?

Filth...
I don't think hc4361 is referring to people knicking things off people's plates but this new trend when in a restaurant you can order a dessert for two. They give you two spoons to share it. I first experienced this in Italy 4 years ago when my husband ordered a dessert and I didn't and they brought two spoons. In France they now do a 'Café gourmandise' which are miniature desserts served with coffee so you get a taste at different desserts but they're individual so no picking into the same bowl.
DT, just looked at that picture, was it once the three thirty at Kempton. x
Put your soon/fork/fingers in my plate or nick my chips at your peril :(
