Quality Street
Pigs in blankets, cheese wrapped in bacon, sausage meat, stuffing balls, mince pies, trifle, satsumas, ready made party food.
Posh cheeses
What sherrardk said, plus Cadburys Heroes and except the satsumas
I don't normally drink spirits but I like to make sure that I have some whisky over Christmas and the New Year (even though I might not actually drink it!). Similarly, it's the only time of year that I'd normally consider buying any form of 'bubbly' (whether it's good quality Champagne or cheap Cava/Prosecco).

While I get through quite a lot of chocolate bars (e.g. Mars, Snickers, etc) during the year, Christmas is usually the only time that I buy Roses (or, far better, some nice Belgian choccies).

Some things I like (such as booze-soaked Stollen are only available at Christmas - although it probably won't be long before the supermarkets start stocking it all year round!

I also find myself being tempted by things like duck breasts, venison steaks and expensive fish, that I'd not normally buy during the year.

I've got some smoked salmon in the freezer (that wouldn't normally feature on my shopping list) - but that's for the cats!

When I was a child, my parents used to buy a soda water siphon to put on the drinks table. Can you still get those? I used to love swooshing that into glasses.
Hot Cross Buns ...

Dave, they are a real treat at Christmas.
Quick! Someone call social services, please! Sherrardk's kids are clearly deprived 'cos they only have trifle at Christmas in her house!!!
(I loved it as a kid and I still get through one or two of the supermarket 'serves 4' or 'serves 6' ones, usually all in one go, each week. I can't understand how anyone can live without trifle!)
Rib eye Roast, champagne and some good reds.
Nuts with the shells on.
Forgot to include a turkey crown.
Chris....I make the sloppiest, booziest, tastiest trifle ever...even trifle haters love it.....

I adore trifle.....especially when you can squidge the spongy bits against your teeth....x
Gness's trifle is boozy. Now why am I unsurprised? ;-)

PS: Can I come round for some, pretty please?
Chris..the door's open...but ring the bell...it plays Jingle Bells...twice...and everyone hates it....'cept me....x

One year, I made a triffley, Italian thing with Limoncello in it. I overdid it with the Limoncello. It nearly blew your head off. It all got eaten though.

We had some fun that Christmas night, I think I remember.

Don't forget the nutcracker, Sycamore!
Xmas pud. Bottles of spirit/liqueur. Liqueur chocolates. Turkey. Xmas cake. Mince pies. Etc etc etc
Christmas pudding (can't be bothered to make it) and mincemeat so I can make mince pies.

It really must be the only time of year that anyone buys chestnuts.
