One Pot Wonders...
46 Answers
I think some of the best meals are the most simple ones that can be cooked in one pot, on the hob or in the oven.
An added advantage is less to go wrong and a lot less pots and pans to wash up!
One of my fav's is probably 'Shepherds Pie' including peas, sweet corn and carrots. Whats yours ?,

Shepherds pie and spag bol are not one pot wonder -they need two pans. I've just bought a new slow cooker and the 'pot' bit is non stick metal which means you can brown your meat and veg on the stove and just place the insert in the slow cooker bit with the liquid. One of my favs is :
coat in flour then brown skinless chicken thighs in butter. add onions carrots celery mushrooms fresh chopped sage salt and pepper and a cup of fresh chicken stock. Cook in slow cooker on low for 5 hours 15 mins before serving add half a cup of creme fraiche or soured cream and fresh chopped parsley. Serve in bowls with crusty bread.
