We're having chicken salad to atone for the Indian takeaway and two bottles of plonk we scoffed and quaffed last night.

I'm sure to have food envy throughout this thread....

Well I'm jealous anyway in anticipation of what you will be having...

Pair it with a nice wine to make it more palatable, Ummmm :)
Chicken breast roasted with tarragon served on a velvet bed of cauliflower, parsnip and apple puree, served with a glass of chilled water.
Christmas leftovers, roast beef, been frozen in gravy since Boxing Day, usual suspects as vegetables, followed by chocolate truffle torte and ice-cream, the torte has kept very well in the fridge, which is surprising considering the amount of cream it contains!
I don't do 'nice' wine. I do 'that tastes okay what's the percentage?' :-)
Not much - I have lost my appetite having just had a row with the Council, bloody useless twonks. Probably just need some wine now!
home made leek and tattie soup with home made bread... salmon fish cakes ..home made..with veggies and a few wee tatties...

Zebo, set another place and I'll bring vino.

237... open some wine without delay!

Minty... you have just inspired me to make some soup...
Roast beef, steamed potatoes, green beans, carrots, kalettes (my new favourite veg), Rioja and chocolate cheesecake.
Chicken Kiev, Dauphinoise potatoes, vegetable medley.

Somewhat irrationally, I fancied a Big Mac at lunchtime. I swung into the local drive in and at the kiosk a very shouty woman (out of sight) was berating the server. He kept on looking at me and her, clearly torn about what to do. I drove off without placing an order, I regret not summoning the shouty woman and explaining why they had lost a customer!
I'd have found her and told her to shut her gob ! but then I AM Scottish !! lol
What a sad life the OP must lead.
Jack - why?
Question Author
They're my favourite too, Ginge, along with creamed spinach and Cavolo Nero.

How do you make your dauphioise, Eccles? I had an eruption of cream last time I attempted it.
hey jack..nom has a great life..better than me for sure... if only she'd adopt me..sob
Jackdaw your negativity is not appreciated by those of us who DO appreciate the inspiration for meal planning.
OK, I know when I'm on a loser.
