Qanyone Else Fed Up With Veganuary?

If someone chooses to be a vegan and deny themselves the rich variety of food on offer that's up to them. However, I'm more than fed up with newspapers pushing veganism etc. There's now a vegan pub in Hackney apparently where they call dishes things like vegan "chicken" - if vegans so despise meat-eaters why on earth do they want to call a dish by a meaty name?

Theres also a theory that it was when we discovered fire and started cooking our food that we made the great leap forward. Bear in mind that chimps also eat meat occasionally. (but no great leap forward for them)

If was us eating the green stuff instead of them it would be us that was responsible for global warming. Proof? Just stand near to someone who has been eating beans/cabbage.

Nailit...the first words that came to mind were "with kindness" and "as stress free as possible"...and their lives up til that point should be the same.
As for my choice to eat meat...I know I feel best when I do. If I felt my best eating vegetarian...that's what I would do.

Pasta, I'm still at a loss as to how you can slaughter an animal with kindness and for its death to be stress free?
Can you rape someone ethically, 'with kindness and for her rape to be stress free'?
For me at the moment its the same analogy. As Ive said, not been sarcastic or anything...I eat meat...but its actually something that I'm struggling with. My ethics are out of sync with my diet and lifestyle.
Have to say though that I DID feel good for a week on a vegan diet, just couldn't keep it up.
Maybe horses for courses in the end.
