Qanyone Else Fed Up With Veganuary?
52 Answers
If someone chooses to be a vegan and deny themselves the rich variety of food on offer that's up to them. However, I'm more than fed up with newspapers pushing veganism etc. There's now a vegan pub in Hackney apparently where they call dishes things like vegan "chicken" - if vegans so despise meat-eaters why on earth do they want to call a dish by a meaty name?

Last year, I tried a vegan diet for a week. The difference in the way I felt was unbelievable...better digestion etc, but I was constantly hungry.

Ive known loads of vegans and vegetarians (one of my ex's was a vegetarian) but never known one that despises meat eaters. Just the thought of eating meat.

Go into a supermarket and count up how many different varieties of fruits, nuts, legumes, veggies, salads etc there are against how many different types of meat that are sold. Much more variety in the vegan foods. Just needs a little imagination. My ex veggie girlfriend made dishes that I would never have dreamt of on my own.

hc, this is a little bit weird because for the past week or so ive been researching various vegan/vegetarian diets. I really hate eating meat because I know just how that animal has been treated for its entire life on a farm. Think that I could manage been a vegetarian but been vegan takes a lot more research into bodily needs (vitamins etc) to stay healthy.

More wishful thinking. Veganism is just a fad, which will never attract anything other than a small, but vocal minority.
Best ignored.
