I'm going to make jam with my blackberries this year, when I've gathered them. My question is this; do I make Blackberry jam or bramble seedless? From reading the recipe for the branble seedless, it seems I need a lot more blackberries plus the sieving seems quite arduous, but us it worth the effort to be pip free? What say you jam makers?

Thanks MM. The more I read about the difficulty in sieving the seeds out the more I'm tempted to leave them in!
If you use enough pectin, you can use the bramble juice if you have access to a juicer. There's fibre in the whole fruit though. I use it all, if they survive long enough to get into jam.
The jelly is nicer
wouldn't be the same seedless !
Different uses, the seedless heated makes a better sauce for puddings
If I am leaving the pips in I add apple otherwise it seems to end up all pip and no jam
warm blackberry drizzling over sponge pudding....Rice pudding with big blob on top... turnovers with ice cream.....ooo..did I mention I was on a diet ?
