Soup Thickness
30 Answers
I made some soup last night with tomatoes, garlic, some herbs, veg stock and single cream. Now i feel i should have used double cream as the soup was quite runny still.
any ideas how i can add some thickness to my soup?
One idea was greek yogurt with some oat milk.
Is greek 'natural' yogurt vegan?
Maybe sour cream would do the trick.

Morning danny. I made the soup in my new nutribullet then warmed it up in a pan. It was delicious, so fresh and hearty, but just so runny like water. Would cornflower add much flavour?
Would i blend it with my tommies and garlic or add it to the final mix bit by bit until the desired thickness is achieved?

RR i only pull your leg. Puree is a very good suggestion.
Potatoe might be a good suggestion to be honest..
I use italian herb mix instead of basil, think it contains basil though!
It was my first soup making experiences so it was trial and error. Was delicious apart from thickness.
May try all of these on different days to find my own style.

Woof no not vegan, not even trying to be, but if minor differences mean i can have a animal free meal i will do it because why not, especially for meals that should really be vegan, like just blended tommies, but yes the cream :/ Odd one
The recipe said for cream alternative use natural yogurt and oat milk lol but seems too similar to be an "alternative" maybe just gluten free ..
