Why is the manufacturing of the film lid covers so poor?

You are often asked to stir after so long but they never peel back and you end up with a pathetic strip in your hand!

I used to get Tesco ready meals and the film would peel back fine.

I have to say Tiggerblue that most supermarkets are guilty.

The ones with the thinner covers are the worst.
