The soup making season started 2 months ago .. nearly all the ingredients come from the allotment, so the soup changes as the produce comes into season.
It usualy kicks off with roast tomato and pepper. Followed by Potato and leek. This years discovery has to be courgette soup, I know it sounds awful, but following a very simple recipe produces the most amazing results. Infact I have already prepared it for xmas dinner. It is so good it has taken the place of my tomato soup.
Having used up most of the small butternut squash, I am now left with 25 or so, all above 2 kilos in weight.
So now experimenting with baked squash, peppers etc.
