Brilliant stuff. I always keep a few packets in the cupboard. Ideal for topping shepherds pie and yesterday I mixed it with left over greens for bubble and squeak.I make it with milk and extra butter rather than water.Mobility problems make cooking a chore for me these days and I find it difficult to peel spuds.Things like this make life a lot easier.
Agreed Pasta. If I was single I would probably survive on cheese, tomatoes and oat biscuits. I never cook for myself!! (Not true, just thought about cheese on toast!)
Wouldn't buy instant mash, potatoes keep well in a 'potato bag' , cotton bag that houses them in the dark, last for 2 to 3 weeks at least this time of year. Reminds me of growing up in our village where my parents won first prize in the school raffle, a very useful sack of potatoes, great for a family with three children.
